Inversion Dance Studios and Rally for the Cure® present Invert for the Cure: A Pole Dance Event. Join us Sunday, April 17, 2011 for a female-only night of food, fun, pole fitness, prizes, and breast health education! Learn the basics of pole dancing while raising money and awareness for breast cancer.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime in the U.S. alone. That is one out of eight mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, friends, co-workers, and/or community members. When detected early, before it spreads beyond the breast, the five-year survival rate is 98%. Rally for the Cure events, such as Invert for the Cure, stress the importance of early detection, which can only happen when women are aware of what they must do on a regular basis.

I am excited to present the next set of cohesion classes! Each month there will be a class held, and if you missed the previous one, here is your chance to learn more floorwork! These classes will add style and variety to your pole dancing skills and help give variety to your workouts. Each month, classes will change from previous cohesion classes. For this month, we will be incorporating the pole into our floorwoork transitions.
When: Saturday, March 19th, 2011 (see exact times below)
Duration: 1 hour each
Cost: Its the same cost as a single class ($30), or you may choose to use this class as one of your packaged classes!
Floorwork Cohesion Course (all levels) 11:45am-12:45pm
Learn the basics of floorwork and how to dance on the floor without using the pole. Fluid dance movements are taught with Inversion style instruction — clear and easy to understand. The purpose of this basic floorwork class is to teach students how to incorporate floorwork into their pole dance routines as resting periods and style enhancers. A planned floorwork routine is taught in this class to encourage students to practice the routines at home for increased fluidity.
Chair Dance Cohesion Course (all levels) 12:45pm-1:45pm
If you missed this one a few months ago, here is your chance to learn one of my personal favorites – chair dance! Its a slow, sexy dance that allows you to take the sensual pole dancing style onto the chair, using it as a prop as you dance your way through. Its a routine that you can also use to practice at home!
How to sign up: Email back or call to reserve your spot. If you currently do not have a class package, prepayments will be collected. The same 24 hour cancellation policy applies. If the class is scheduled full (up to 6 people per class), you will be put on a waiting list and will be notified if a spot opens up. Therefore, if you reserve your spot and cannot attend, please be respectful of others and notify as soon as you can.
